Merrill Walz (volunteer)
Merrill’s first memories of trains are steam locomotives working in Chicago in the 1950s, but it took another 20 years for her to recognize the historical impact of those memories. It was only after she and Bob were married and he began modeling the Santa Fe that she realized her early ties to steam railroading. Today she is a corporate trainer who enjoys riding Amtrak and taking as many steam excursions as she can.
